SBB Research Group Foundation
SBB Research Group Foundation — Monthly Nonprofit Grant Program
What the funder says
Rolling competitive grant program for IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofits addressing unmet needs with thoughtful, long-term strategies. Any 501(c)(3) organization may apply; preference is given to organizations with five to forty-nine full-time employees. At least one selected winner per month receives $5,000; other finalists receive $1,000. These are selection-dependent awards, not payments to every applicant.
Eligibility
Any 501(c)(3) organization may apply. Preference is given to organizations with five (5) to forty-nine (49) full-time employees; this is a preference, not a stated minimum or maximum eligibility gate. The foundation supports ambitious organizations solving unmet needs with thoughtful, long-term strategies. Selection is at the foundation committee’s sole discretion. Specific fiscal-sponsor alternatives, allowable expense categories and separate service-area restrictions are not established in the reviewed terms. Illinois finalist examples are not proof of an Illinois-only rule.
Application requirements
One application per organization per calendar year. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing, rolling basis; applicants not selected as a finalist or winner remain considered in subsequent months, with no precise carryover end date stated. Selected nominees are contacted for a brief phone/video call; selected finalists give a formal video presentation of up to ten minutes followed by questions. Committee selects at least one monthly winner for $5,000; other finalists receive $1,000. Additional funding opportunities may be available to winners, but amounts/access are not guaranteed. Website estimates about ten minutes for the initial application; this is the funder’s estimate, not verified total effort or a waiver of later stages. Official website terms govern and may change without notice. Detailed supporting-document, spending, payment and reporting requirements remain unverified; review current terms before preparing an application.
